Magic is a leading footwear brand of Nepal. Launched in 2001, the brand Magic represents an illustrious history of 43 years in footwear manufacturing. Owned by Jayshree Group, the brand Magic provides the highest standards in durability, comfort, and style. Starting manufacturing in 1979, the group owns and operates 3 units as per below:
In a visionary step, the group became the first EVA Injection molded footwear manufacturer in NEPAL in 2003 with the establishment of Jayshree Polymers Pvt. Ltd. Starting with 10 designs for men, women, and children, the EVA portfolio has expanded to more than 125 designs as of 2022.
Jayshree group established the first polyurethane footwear-making unit with the establishment of Jayshree PU Tech in 2010. Today, the company is a leader in PU footwear with more than 200 designs for men, women, and children. In addition to PU Slippers, Jayshree PUTech has started manufacturing sports shoes in PU sole, PVC, and EVA soles. Today, the sports shoes portfolio comprises a vast range of products for men, women, and children.
Entering footwear retailing, the group started Jayshree Retail in 2012, with its first store in Biratnagar. Today it operates 15 stores across NEPAL (some stores are self-owned and others are franchises). In addition to standalone stores, Magic is sold at Bhat Bhateni Supermarket, the largest department store chain of NEPAL.
Leveraging our manufacturing capabilities, we decided to explore the Indian market also. Starting with small volumes in 2014, we now have a continuous export business. We are now regular suppliers to several Indian brands like Khadim India Ltd. (Kolkata), Bonkerz Lifestyle Inc. (Coimbatore), and Oshina Expo Pvt. Ltd. (New Delhi). Given our manufacturing capabilities and our proximity to the Indian market, we believe exports is a significant opportunity (which we intend to address going forward).
